Yesterday (Saturday April 19th) I was woken up by some loud music at 11 hours. I was sure the source of the music had to be right inside my room and therefore I took a look around with my half opened and tired eyes. There was nothing like a radio inside my room and I realized that the sound came through the wall seperating me from our living room. It was the first time I noticed the walls must be very thin.
I could hardly believe, that one of my friendly roommates could be responsible for the noise, but I didn´t have the power to raise and check or even argue, so I kept lying down and listened to the music. And it was worth it, because when I was more awake, I realized that the band was really good.
After three songs I was wide awake and assured, that a rockband was playing a concert right in our living room. I raised to check and everything I found was my roommate Christina and her friend Phil sitting on the table, working on their laptops. I asked them about the music and they said it is coming from the street. I listened carefully and came to the conclusion, that someone in the house on the other side of the street must have been listening really loud to his music and that he or she has a really good stereo, good enogh to entertain a whole neighbourhood.
The music stopped after some more songs.
I checked the internet for one song I had enjoyed so much. I typed in what I had understood from the lyrics and of course there was no result. There was also no hint of whom it could have been-guess the reason is my poor Spanish;-)
In the evening I was invited for dinner by Soledad, who I know through my former roommate Nev. French guy Marc-Ange was there, also a former roommate, and Sole´s roommate Gaby too. We enjoyed a yummy meal and besides we were listening to radio “Mega 98.3″. Guess what, sometime after midnight they were playing the song I had been woken up with in the morning. Soledad could immedeately tell me name of the band, which is “Los Redonditos de Ricota”. It took me some more research then to find out the name of the song, but finally I made it. Its name is “Caña seca y un membrillo”, from the Cd “Lobo Suelto Cordero atado (Cd 2)”. After all I think it is only good, when it is played very loud on a Saturday Morning in Once/ Balavanera.

Jan,

Jan, it sounds like Marc-Ange doesn´t want to be your friend anymore. You should ban all frogs from writing comments. It is VERY cold in Bariloche!!
PS: Marc – ,,,,!!,,,!!,,
