For Friday, Cristina had invited me to come to a private party. I followed her invitation, although I wasn´t really in a party mood. I just had to leave the house.
I know Cristina from my little Uruguay-trip, where we got to know each other in the streets of Montevideo. Cristina is from Ecuador and studies Cinema here in Buenos Aires.
We met at 23.30h in front of Cristinas University in San Telmo, where I got to know some of her friends.
In a big group we arrived at the party in Barracas round 00.30h and we were more or less the first guests. It’s this Argentine phenomena, that parties do not start before 00.00h and if you ask someone to meet at 22.00h, he or she answers “Why so early?”
It turned out to be a typical artist party. Nice location, electronic music, a lot of alcohol, some drugs and a lot of dancing. I enjoyed 2 of those 5 things and had interesting talks with Laura, a friend of Cristina. She told me about some tourist spots in her homecountry Columbia. If it´s on her, I will have to visit Coveñas in the “Golfo de Morrosqillo”. Laura also told me about Columbian Politics, mainly about the problems with its neighbours Ecuador and Venzuela. Actually only some weeks ago Venezuela and Ecuador were about to start a war against Columbia, but the situation has calmed down a bit.
I also enjoyed some serious talks with Cristina. We shared our experiences being a foreigner in Buenos Aires. She also managed to “save” me, every time, someone dodgy or “high” wanted to tell me his entire life story.
I could also use my German once again, because Fabiana, also a friend of Cristina, speaks a little German. Furthermore there was a group of four Germans at the party, but I didn’t talk to them, that would have been too much German:-)
The way back home was easy, thanks to Cristinas friend Mauro, who drove us through half Buenos Aires in his car. He dropped us off close to Parque las Heras, where Cristina lives and from where it was only 20 minutes by bus to my beloved department in Once.
I was at home at 6h, about an hour earlier than usual.

About
Since the 25th of January I am in Lima and will stay here for a while. This is a blog about my time in Latin America. I have been here since the 4th of dec 2007 when I arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've been traveling to Chile and and Argentina in december 2007 and the lived in Buenos Aires for a year. During that I time I traveled to Uruguay with Nev from Australia in March 2008 and to Patagonia in October together with Robby, Vildan and Anahita from my hometown in Germany. In december 2008 I traveled alone to the northwest of Argentina. There I met up with Robby and we traveld together to Bolivia and Peru. I started this blog on the 4th of April 2008 so you won't find any posts about Uruguay or Chile in here. Links

Serious Party, I also enojyed my talk to you, even when I had to put about 10 years of history in a couple of sentences, I am glad though that you got the point,. Hope to see you on our next party or sooner if something extraordinary happens.
